God Does Not Condemn You, Don’t Condemn Yourself
Hello everyone, welcome to Education for the New Creation. This message is for you—the one who feels deserving of the punishments, challenges, and struggles you’re facing. You’re thinking, “I’ve done some things to deserve this. It’s adding up to my past mistakes, my past sins. God doesn’t condone sin, so He must be punishing me.”
You’re right about one thing: God is just. And because He is just, sin had to be punished. But here is the truth—He punished sin in His Son.
Isaiah 53:6 says that God laid our iniquity on Jesus. God could not simply ignore sin. There had to be justice. But instead of punishing you, He laid your sins on Christ. Jesus took them.
Isaiah 53:5 says He was wounded for our transgressions. Romans 4:25 says He was delivered up because of our offenses. The price had to be paid—but we could not pay it. So Jesus paid it for us.
If you are wallowing in condemnation, thinking, “I deserve this suffering,” you are ignoring the sacrifice. The Bible says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). That’s why Christ had to die. John 1:29 calls Him the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
Some religions still offer animal sacrifices for the covering of sins. But the real and final sacrifice was the Son of God. He took every mistake, every penalty, every consequence upon Himself.
God does not condemn you—not because He overlooks sin, but because He judged it in Jesus. Justice was satisfied at the cross so that mercy could flow to you.
Don’t let the enemy convince you that your struggles are God punishing you for your past. Many people accept torment, thinking it is divine discipline, when in reality mercy has already been poured out for them.
Yes, we were all wrong from the start. We all sinned. We all had the nature of sin (Ephesians 2:3). That’s exactly why God sent Jesus. Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”
2 Corinthians 5:19 says God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them. If He did not impute your sins to you, that means He placed them on someone else—Jesus. Isaiah says clearly that God laid our iniquity on Him.
Jesus took your sins. Jesus took the penalty. So when you continue to live in guilt and condemnation, it’s like remaining in prison after someone has already paid your fine.
Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But verse 24 says we are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:32–34 says God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? It is Christ who died.
Christ was your substitute.
It’s not about whether you did something wrong recently. The truth is, humanity was fallen from the beginning. That’s why salvation had to be a work from the inside. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice to sanctify imperfect people.
So don’t accept defeat. Don’t sit and think, “This is happening because of what I did.” The enemy is wicked. He wants you to believe God is punishing you. But God is good. He surrendered His Son for you.
When accusing thoughts come—“After what you did, how can you succeed? How can you be blessed?”—answer them with the blood of Jesus.
Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” That is your standing.
Isaiah 43:25 says, “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.” God says He does not remember them. So why should you?
Revelation 12:11 says we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. When condemnation comes, say, “I plead the blood of Jesus. Christ has paid for me.” The devil understands what happened at the cross—even if he hopes you don’t.
If you are not yet born again, you must come into Christ. It is in Him that there is no condemnation. He died for your sins and was raised for your justification. When you believe in Him, you step into that finished work.
Think of it like a poor widow whose debt has been fully paid by someone else. Once the payment is made, she is free. If creditors return, she can say, “The debt has been settled.” In the same way, your debt has been paid in full.
There is nothing the blood of Jesus did not cover.
So do not sit in condemnation when a price has already been paid for you.
Say this after me:
Jesus is my Lord.
I believe that Jesus was raised from the dead.
I believe that His blood has cleansed me from every sin
and wiped away my past.
I believe that God does not remember my sins anymore
because He sees me through the blood of Jesus.
Thank You, Lord, that I am saved.
I am delivered.
There is no more condemnation for me
because I am in Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you so much for listening. Please join tomorrow as we continue. God bless you.
